PROJECT: “Get Together” Facebook Portal Holiday Pop-up
CLIENT: Facebook
AGENCY: Giant Spoon + POPsocial
ROLE: Creative Director + Creative Producer
DESCRIPTION: I served as Creative Director and Creative Producer at a 10-day pop-up activation in the heart of Soho, New York City to debut Facebook’s first hardware product, Portal. Working with agency partners and an army of vendors, we converted a completely bare commercial space into a 6,000 square foot ‘home’ where guests could “Get Together”. Walking through different themed rooms, guests could immerse themselves in relatable environments, exploring the product first-hand, and interacting with in-character live talent through the Portal. The experience preformed well above industry benchmarks for experiential, including coverage by over 30 media outlets, a 400% increase in positive social mentions, and a 800% increase of Portal sales in the NYC market (with no products sold on site).

I also collaborated with POPsocial to create a fully custom set design for an exclusive live portrait studio, designing a custom print that was used to cover the space, including matching garments, furniture, and decor. Guests had their portraits taken and were able to instantly share and print their very own premium printed holiday cards that they could write to family and friends as the next step in their experience. Over the 10 days, over 3,000 guests passed through the experience, over 5,000 portraits were captured, and 2,500 cards were printed and/or emailed.
